About
Dani Ervin was born and raised in southeast Louisiana, and began making photographs in 2014. She primarily works in alternative processes with a fondness for paper negatives and the intimate impression the medium can contribute to the work. Her current body of work Bearing Witness focuses on personal trauma and the process of healing from it, as she often uses her art to explore personal subjects.
Dani also works on documenting social issues, such as women's and environmental rights. She additionally shoots events, particularly live music. In the fall of 2019 she worked photographing for the LSU Museum of Art for their winter publication. She graduated with her BFA in Studio Arts-Photography in December of 2019.
